Shred Shack was started because I wanted to make the most helpful resource for skaters and surfers.
I buy everything out of pocket to ensure there’s no underlying biases.
Below is a little more info on my review process.
Before I buy anything, I do thorough research. I’ll spend hours researching the specifics, writing them down, and then move on to purchasing it.
Price compare between all websites that have it in stock. From online surf/skate shops to Amazon, I find the best price and purchase it.
I have a love/hate relationship with this part. One of my passions is photography, but it’s so hard to open a new surf/skate product without immediately shreddin’ it. In this phase, I unbox it and get as many different angles as possible.
4. Shred Test
The best part about this whole process, the shred test! This is when I really start the review process. I push the speed, perform as many carves as possible, and anything else I can think of. During this stage, I take note of what I like/dislike. I’ll also have some of my friends ride it and get their input.
After riding it for a few months, I’ll take note of the things I like and dislike. I’ll even ask others what they think of it (only if they own it) on certain subreddits. I’ll gather all my thoughts and write an in-depth review to help you decide if it’s a good option for you.
And there’s a little more detail about my review process.
You can rest assured that every review on this site is unbiased and honest.
